Swoop mitts

These fingerless mitts have a raised ridge of colour, creating dramatic swooping lines from wrists to fingers.  The ridges give a subtle texture to the mitt and are easy to work.

This pattern is available on Ravelry and Payhip.  There is a low vision accessible version of this pattern.

Additional Notes

These mitts are worked in the round.  The ridged swooping lines of colour are worked separately at the end, by picking up stitches then casting off using the Icelandic cast-off.

Any DK weight yarn should be suitable for this project.  This is an ideal time to use a strongly variegated yarn for the contrast colour.
