A vibrant colour pop or softly swirling ripples?  Whichever you choose, the folded brim will ensure that you stay warm, whenever you wear this hat.  Given its simple structure, this is a very adaptable pattern.  There are seven sizes provided in the pattern, from preemie to large adult; there is also the option of changing yarn weight to make the hat that is perfect for you.

Additional Notes

The hat is worked in the round from the brim to the crown.  The hat has a large, deep folded brim.  This is a good opportunity to use a decorative cast-on if you would like, as it will be clearly visible on the finished hat.  Just remember, that the brim will be folded upwards, so if your chosen cast-on has a clear right side, this should be worked on the INSIDE of the hat, so that it becomes visible after it is folded over.  Once the main hat is completed, the swirling lines are worked separately.  These use the Icelandic cast-off to create the look of a braided ridge of colour.

Make it a set

This pattern pairs well with Swoop. Both use the same technique to create swirling lines of colour.
