Knitted clothes for toys

  • Post category:Knitting

This pattern is for a knitted top for toys and it is a super quick knit, as it measures approximately 8cm (3 inches) from neckline to hem.  It’s knitted top down in the round – which means that it is knitted all in one piece, without the need for seaming.  There is a wide neck opening, so this should fit most toys.  You could add a fastening to the neck if you would like.

I made this jumper as Monster asked for a red top for Grey Bunny, one of our snuggly soft Jellycat toys.  He was very pleased with the result, so the following night I made one for Rabbit too.  However, Menace made it very clear that no-one messed with Rabbit, and that Rabbit most definitely did not want any clothes.  Of course, that naturally meant that Monster decided that Grey Bunny also did not need clothes.  I wish your toys a longer enjoyment of the warmth of a lovingly hand knitted jumper than the toys in this house were allowed!
